American troops fired several volleys into the air when rioting agaih broke .out in Trieste to-day, says the Associated Press of Great Britain's Trieste correspondent. ■ Si'x men and a woman were wounded earlier when a mob of Italian youths attacked the distributing office of the Communist newspaper Illavoratore and threw neyvspapers off the delivery trucks, striking the labourers who attempted to defend the newspaper office. A jse'p driven by. the Venezia Giulia police, during the melee, ran over one of the rioters. Italians all day tried to prevent the delivery of Illavoratore, which carried the headline, "After One ,Year of Allied Administration the Fascist Terror Reopens in Trieste." Hand grenades were thro.wn, but there were no casualties. | The Associated Press says that ;large crowds are still in the streets' to-night, many of whom were armed with sticks, stones and! ibrcken bcttles. One hundred additional British troops are reported to ihave been drafted to the city.
