WELLINGTON, July 1. Situation: An anticyclone is south -east of Otago and a ridge extends towards Norfolk Island. A depression is north-east of the North Island and ovfer Tasmania. The forecast to 5 p.m. on Tuesday is for moderate south-easterly winds, still fresh in some exposed positions. A few isolated showers about the ranges, but weather otherwise fair. Temperatures cold, with frosts to-night. Further outlook: Fair though Cold.
