i I With Hui Mai oue point ahead of Otaki and Athletic the senior rugby championship reached an interesting stage after the third series of games in the second round was completed on Saturday. There were no surprises, Hui Mai and Athletic securing wins over Shannon and Wanderers respectively, and Foxton and Otaki plaving to a draw. The second round of the northern division of the iunior competition was concluded on Saturday, when Wanderers, so far unbeaten this season, were played to a draw by Athletic. Wanderers, however, have a good lead and will be difficult to dislodge in the third and final round. The southern division and the third grade championship each have one further series of games to complete the second round.
