Brown 's textbook ortliodoxy forced Segura into many errors. Brown maintained a brilliant flow* of strokes 1 h rougliout. Tlie Australians, I'ails and G. Brown, again had easy wins. The American Kramcr Jost only one game against tlie i'ole TloCzynski. Kramer so far lias dropped only five games in tliree matclies compared with tlie Australian Brown 's six. The Midlander, A. J. Mottram, is tlie only Englishman remaining in the singles to contest the fourtli round 1-Ie has successively beaten the Yugoslavian Laslo, the ( zoeh Siba, and tlie Belgian A'andeneynde, losing only one set.
