FERTILIZER RATIONING APPEALS ON GROUNDS OF IIAIIDSMP ^PPEALS for additional fertilizer for topdressing purposes for the rationing year 1946-4-7 must be lodged with the Chairman of District Fertilizer Committee by July 18th, 1946. Appeals will be considered only on following bases: 1. From those farmers who have not appealed on any previous occasion. 2. From those farmers who can produce documentary evidence to the eflect that they have brought in out of virgin country during the 1945/46 rationing period areas which have been sown down to new grass. Appeals from reuirned servicemen from World War II can be considered at any time during the rationing year. All appeals must be in writing, addressed by the farmer to Chairman, District Fertilizer Committee, Care Dept. of Agriculture for the district in which applicarit farms. PAYMENT OF INCOME TAX IN ADVANCE JNCOME-TAX on income derived during the year ended March 31, 1946, will be due for payment early in February, 1947. Taxpayers may pay tax in advance in one sum or by instalments of £1 or multiples thereof at any money-order post office or at any branch of the Land and Income Tax Department. Interest is allowable at H per cent. per annum for each complete month from the date of payment to the following February 6. A receipt showing the taxpayer's full name and address should be obtained for each instalment.
