The meeting opelifed with the singing o'f a hymn, a reading of a scripture and a prayer. • Mrs- Kennerley heartily welcom,ed new rnembers and also Mrs. Thrift, vice-president of the Pitt Street Ladies' Guild,- Auckland. Mrs. Thrift, in her talk gave some useful information in regard to the con- | tents of parcels to be sent to Eng- j land. Further arrangements were , made concerning the forthcoming j victory sale of work, which is to be j held on October 22. j Afternoon tea was then seryed by ; Mesdames Moxham and Stqrey, ; after wfiich .Mrs. Kennerley thanked Mrs. Kings for the use of her home.
