CHRISTCHURCH, June 27. Tlie possibilitv of a tour of New Zealand nest seaaon by nn Indian Army tcam, was iiulicated at a meeting of the management committec of the New Zealand Hockey Association. A letter was reecived from general headquarters, of ihe Indian Army, advising that i/ was willing to accept an invitation ta tour New Zealand in 1947 provided that tlie financial terms offered were iniproved. A special eommittee couiprising Messrs H. S. J. Goodman, C. C. Holland and P. N. Quartermain, was set up to reeonsider the linancial terms and to report to next meeting. An iuter-island representative mateh will bo plaved at Blenheim this year on August 31. The following selectors were appointed: North Island, Messrs W. Newsham (Auckland) and Iv. A. Falconer (Wellington); South Island, Messrs II. Tlirop (Canterbury) and I, J. Kennick (Otago). A letter was received from the Interna'tioual Hockey Federation asking for an opihion on the iiew experimental penalty c'orner riile." It was decided to advise that Now Zealand favoured the noA\ l'ule which liad met with general approvul of botli' players and umpires.
