Mrs. F. Grey, formerly of Shannon, and now of Putriona, Hawke's Bay, is the guest of Mrs. C. Guerin, Sister McDonald, the district nurse, who has just returned from hospital left yesterday on a convalescent holiday in Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs-. Don Higgie have returned home after spending ' a month's extensive motor tour of the north, visiting Te.Awamutu, Auckland, Rotorua, Thames and New Plymouth. Shannon extends a welcome to Mr. and .Mrs. Rasmussen and family, who have arrived from Eketahuna to 'take up residence here. Mr. Rasmussen has taken up his duties at the railway station in the position formerly occupied by Mr. Colin Edwards.
