Two lmndred and thirty othcers and men from the British Couimonwfealth Occupation Foree will leave tomorrow to spend a week's leave at some of the show places' of Japan. They .will go in parties of 11 to dilierent liotels wliicli have been taken over as holiday and rest camps by the American fojces. One of these is Fuji View llotel in the Lakes district at the foot of the famous mountain Fujivama. Anotlier is Nikko Ivenko llotel at Nikko which is considered to be tlie greatest show place 11. Japan. Others are the Nara Ilotoi sited in a region famous for its gardens and temples; Nkyoto, the largest uu damaged eity in Japan and a forme.i "capital; Kawana, celebrated seaside resort; Mannpei llotel in the mountains 92 miles north -of Tokio; and Taka Shima near Tgoya. Three othe: holiday resorts are on tlie island ot Kvushn and are famous -for their mineral springs. Oue is on the slapes of Mount Aso.
