Mr. D.avis reportcd tliat Uniteu States sliipped 4,719,000 tons of wheat flour and corn for relief from Japuary 1 to June 20 and if -sliips were avaiiable the total would be 5,723,000 by June 30, tliereby exeeeding the United States com'mitment of 5,500,000 tons for tlie period. ; He added that an inquiry was being made to see whetlier the All'es' dis- ■ mantling of nitrogen plants in Germany can be stopped so that they can be i used to produce eritieally needed fertil- ' iser.
