THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MATJNEE THURSDAY, 1.30 P.M. The largest circus ever constructed for a British picture was built on the main stages of Warner Bros Teddington studios for "The Dark Tower," which comes to the Regent Theatre on Thursday and Friday. Stqrring Ben Lyon, Anne Crawford and David Farrar, the picture ,follows the fortunes of a travelling company from its days of battling for existence jn tattered tents to itt rise to world-fame. In the last phase of the story, billowing canv'as and makeshift seats were -replaced by a gigantic arena desigped after the style of the huge continental circiises of pre-war days. "The Leopard Men of Africa," Dr. Paul L. Hoeffler's sensational j'ungle thriller is aptly described by "Film Daily" as a "roiising adven-. ture saga with copious exciterp^nt." Made by that intrepid expiorer, whose first film, "Africa Speaks," stamped him as3 a master of the cinematic art, "The Leopard Men of Africa" is a factual record of Dr. Hoeffler's trek into the heart of the Congo to secure the first film recorct of the terrible savages who hold torture and murder as sacred ritual.
