Shaw, F. O. Malcolm, A. R. Ransom .and H. F. M,cPlune (headmaster)-. ApolOgies for unavoidable absence" were received from Messrs. H. Bull and W. R. Jack. .Headmaster's Report Tfie headmaster gaye the following report: "The roll is now 58# and the attendance has been good in the main, although some children have been absent through mumps, jneasles and scarlet fever; Miss Aim has applied for. further leave pntil June 28. Mrs. Black is relieving in her pla.ee. The midy^ar eXaminations are in progress. "Winter sports have eommeneed and it is hoped to have yegular "weekly inter-school competitions in both football and basketball. The grounds are in reasonably good order for this time of the year. • "The roof and the spouting in the main building have not yet been attended to. Two burst water pipes have been repaired." General Matters A letter was received from the Levin Boys' Band, requesting thqt a member of the committee be appointed to the band committee. Mr. Witherow was duly apppinted to the position. The Levin School Dental Clinic asked that two members of the committee be appointed as a dental clinic sub-committee. Miss W. E. Wharton and Mr. A. C. Kennerley were elected. The Wellington Education Board advised that Mr. I. W. Dennison, who had three and a-half years' military service, had been appointed to the position of assistant master at the school. It was reported that the Horowhenua Boys' and Girls' Agriculcural Club was holding- its annual nreeting next month and Mr. F. O. Malcolm was appointed as the commiutee's delegate. .
