Personal Mrs. Eaton, mother of Mr. R. Eaton, who has been in indifferent health for. some time, will enter the Palmerston North Hospital tomorrow. ' ' Mr. Peter Royal, who was recently mjured in a car accident, and who has been in hospital in Palmerston N'orth, returned home yesterday. Miss Burgess and Miss Lightweil will return to Otaki shortly. Miss Dorothy James, of Raetihi, and Nurse Edith James, of the Wanganui Hospital staff, are at present visiting Otaki and are staying with Mr. James at the sehool residence. The marriage took place at the Otaki Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon when Mr. Victor Gwynn was united in holy bonds oi matrimony to Miss Nora Hughes. The ceremony was witnessed by a large number of friends, while a reception followed, the usual toasts being honoured. Mr. and Mrs. Gwynn will have the best wishes of many friends. Young Farmei*s' Dance The Otaki— Te ■ Horo Young Farmers' ' Club dance, held at Hautere on Saturday night, was largely attended and prov.ed very successful. School Basketball Interestmg games of basketball were playea 011 Friday, wnen tne Otaki Siate School "A" team deieated Convent 7 — 2, while Convent "B" team defeated Otaki "A" team 8 — 1. Miss CampDell officiated as referee. School Football Playing on the Otaki Domain on Fnuay, otairi Suate Scnool deieated Convent 8 — 0. Mr. Casey was reieree. -The match was in the form oi a triai game, ihe competitions starting next week, wnen Otaki piay Te Horo at Te Horo.
