AUCKLAND, June 21. Although there has been some doubtwhether the Minister of Labour and Mines, Ilon. P. Webb, would again contost the'Buller seat at the coming general election, he made his position ciear in a statement to the New Zealand 11 eraid tonight wlien he said he would do vvliatever the Labour movement required of him. He felt he would be able to carry on, ; ■"> "I have left .every thing to the'Buller Labour Eepresentation Committce and to the Party, " said Mr. Webb. "I will do wliatever they wish me to do. I feel that I will be able to do the job and i am prepared to do so if they want nie. I am strong enough to do a little at present. I will not carry on for one dav ionger than 1 am able to do ah llonest dav's work because X do not want to be a passenger bdt a worker'." Mr. Webb said he liad not yet been nominated to contest the keat at thc election, but he felt he b.elonged to the I movement and would d'° wliat was | thought to be in its -b.est iiiterests.
