11,000 want to/return About 11,000 discharged American servicemen who "like the look of Australia". are waiting in th'e States for a chance to coihe here to settle; says the Sydney Sun. This figure was given by the secretary of the American-Australasian ExServicemen's Memorial Club (Mr, H. H. Waldon) . Mr. Waldon, the first American to be discharged in Australia is working in Sydney for the U.S. ; Government. He said that about! 800 discharged Americans had aiready settled in New South Wales. Jobs they had taken up includecl horse-breeders, horse-trainers, horse-owners, farmers, accountants, clerks; businessmen, movie operators, station hands, mechanics, engineers and shop. owners. "Numbers of Americans saved a little- eapital and are gcing into partnerships with their inlaws," Mr. , Waldon said.
