Only a street day had , saved the Auckland Centre's finances this year.
Massey Booked Up to 1948 "Tb nfy mind one - of the healthiest signs we have in our agrieultural orbit to-d'ay is that the deniand for ' agrieultural education is far greater than ever before, and unfortunatel'y far greater than our abrlity to supply,*" declared Mr. R. A- Candy, chairman of the Board of Governors, at the Massey College 'graduation eeremony in Palmerston North last evening. "Unless considerable additiopal facilities are made availabl'e during 1947, we are aiready fuily booked "to our capacity for the year 1948. During this year more than &90 students will have gohe through the institution attending courses for one term or. more, apart from all the othe^s who have, or will attend short courses of various dimensions. Compare this with T6& students for courses of similar dimensions for the year 1936 — just ten, years, ago." I
