NELSON, June 19. The first event, heading and holding at the. Routli Tsland and New Zealand dog trial chanqiionships was decided this morning. The South Isiand ■championship resulted: — R. M. Wilson's (Kirwee) Moss 971pts, 1; Anderson's (Omarama) Bob 97, 2; Lawrence 's '(Uriti) Fly 9(U, 3; W. A. Thom's (Takapau) Ajaz 90, 4; F. Addis's (Waipawa) Jet 95 J, 5; M. J. Greanev's (Oamaru) Skip 95, 0; Thomson 's (Masterton) Speed 941, 7. New Zealand head and hold championship re.suits were: — Lawrence 's Fly 1941 points 3, Wilson's Moss 3 94 2, Greanev's Skip 192 3, Thomson 's Speed 3911 4. There were 87 cntri.es.
