WELLINGTON, June 19. Negotiations with the dentists are for an approved range of ireatment under the contract system and it is expected to bring some 100,090 young people under treatment annually. Hospital boards would cither be empowered to take . over the existing schemes, or subsidise approved organisations. The report on the specialist services also recommended tlie provision of eertain" artificial aids and appliances, and stated that it was . proposed- to take advantage of the organisation for sup plying artificial limbs to ex-serviceme-i as well as the splint departments of ■ the larger public hospitals. to further this aim.
