OTAKI BOWLING CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Otaki" Bowling Club was held last night, the president, General RYoung presiding. _ Notification was received that Mr. Mclntyre desired to withdraw from his position as the.club's delegate on the centre, and that Mr. J. R. Cunninghame was willing to accept. It was decided that Mr. Cunninghame be asked to take the position, and that Mr. Mclntyre be thanked for representing the club. Regret was expressed that he could not carry on as the club's delegate. The annual meeting of the club was fixed for Thursday next at the Druids' Hall. ■ The rules, as drawn up by the special committee, were read and considered satisfactory. These will be submitted to the annual meeting. The matter . of improving the pavilion was discussed and while it. was considered that something should be done, the matter was held in abeyance, although it is probable that interested members will do some necessary work. It was point- | ed out that building material, etc., i was still scarce. I The matter of missing trophies | was mentioned and the hope expressed that particulars of these be given. i The matter of allowing ladies to i piay was briefly touched on, but did ' not find favour . ! The appointment of a catering committee was suggested, and this iwill have consideration later.
