Tlie scrajv jiing of all Ihe present sLitions in Ihe cities is likelv to • follow and eventually there will be a chain of hundreds of frequency modulalion stations throughont the Cdmmonwealth. The use of very high freqnencies enables practieally noise froo recejjfion within the station ;s range, which may vary from 00 to 100 miles, aecording to the topography of the country. Tliis permits large nnmbers of stations to operate withont mutnal interference. The site of Ihe new station has not yot been chosen but it will have a power output of two killowalts. rrhe main purpose of the station in its initial stage will be to enable manufac-' turers of roeoiving sets to exjierinient with them during the production stage.
