CHINA'S PEACE HOPES DIMMED
GOVERNMENT S NEW DEMANDS Received Wednesday, 11 a.m. NANKING, June 18. Th'q Communist spokesman, Wong Pengnan, declared that the Chinese Government had dimmed the hopes for peace by demanding that the Communists should yield certain strongholds in NoTth China, including all Shantung Province coastline. The Commuhists described the' Government's new price for peace as most unsatisfactory.
