With his own electorate of Thames eliminated as the result of boundary revisions, Mr. James Thorn, M.P., is mentioned as likely to receive nomination as the Labour Par.ty candidate ior Otaki whose present member, Mr. L. JW. Lowry is to retire for health reasons at the end of the present Parliament. Mr, Lowry, of whom the Pritne Minister said yesteday there was *no hner or more loyal man in Parliament, won the Otaki seat in 1.935 and has held it sinee then. .Mr. Thorn is a- pioneer member of the Labour movemeht and is a Parliamentary. under-secretary to the Prime Minister.-^
