More than 8000 children between the ages of six monlhs and se\-en years received their lirst iujection- wlien a 12 weeks' diphthoria innnunisalion cam paign conducted by the Health Department in 'conjunction with Ihe I'riii.di Medieal Association, opened in 84 Au -kland schools on Haturdav morning. Doctors and nurses were in attendarn e at special clinics sei. up in Ihe schools. Particnlars were taken by clerks and after the injection tlie children sai quietly for 15 minutes.
