SOLDIER WHO CELEBRATES HIS RESURRECTION
Once a year a'Queensland soldier celebrates liis re'surrection with the men who saw hiin killed. O11 May 10, 1916, at Quinn's Post on * Gallipoli, close-range machinegun fire inflicted 51 wounds on Lieut. Leo Casey and he was believed to be dead. With others lie was placed in a gravc for burial, and the padres commenced tlie reading of tlie burial serviee. buddenly Father Power saw Casey 's "body" move, and gave o-rders for its iiiiiiiediate rcmoval from the grave. The "dead" man was handed over to a doctor. After 108 major operations and 7S local anaesthetics he was considerod well enough to be transferred to the London General, Hosiiital, where he recovered.
