OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the "Muncipal Corporations Act, 1933," the "Rating Act, 1925," and all other Acts, if any, it thereunto enabling and all amendments thereto, at the Monthly Meeting of the Otaki Borough Council to be held on the 10th July, 1946, it is the intention of the Council to make and levy a General Rate of 7 5-8ths. d. in the £1, for the year 1/4/46 to the 31/3/47, on the Rateable Value, on the basis of the Unimproved Value of all lands in the Borough, such rates to be due and payable in one sum on the 12th August, 1946, and that the proposed rates be consolidated as follows: — General 7 5-8ths. d., Street Ligliting 5-8ths. d., Hospital Levy 2 3-8ths. d., Library 5-8ths. d., Catchment . Board 3-8ths. d., Sewerage Reaemption Loan ltd., and Conversion Loans Nos. 1 and 2, 4d. to be a Consolidated Rate of 1/5 3-8ths. d. in the £1; Special No. 4 Rate to be -id. in the £1, and a Uniform Annual Sanitation fee of £1 15s for each pan to be charged only to those properties which are served by the bamiary Service. The Unimproved Rateabie Value of all lands m the Borough is £84,574. It is furoher nooitied that a rebate of 2-i per centum will be allowed on all current rates but not on sanitary fees paid within 30 days of the date" of demand, and that the Valuation Roil is open for inspection at the Council uhambers, Main Street, Otaki, durmg ordinary office hours.
