Tliis is the first instanee of effective j cperation of the World Federation of- | Trade Uuions in securing interuationai ! action. The AVorhl Federation was approaehed bv American seamen for support and at the New Zealand Federation 's conference today, a cable message from the World headquarters was reeeived asking that action be taken. The following resolution moved by Ihe rctiring president, Ilon. A. MeLagan, in substance the same but slightly amending an earlier proposal l'rom Mr. T. I-Iill, secretary of the New l Zealand Waterside Workers' Union was j earried unauimously: "This conference assures the World Federation of Trade Uuions it will ad- ; vise New Zealand maritime and waterI side attiliations in particular, and all its i ahiliations in general, to aet in com I plete solidaritv with the Uuited Mtates j Maritime Uuions and to refuse to work { ships lnanned by non-union erews, "
