MARKET REPORT
' Messrs. Townsend and Paul. Ltd., fruit, and produce mercliants, Wellington, report that only small suppiies of all varieties of fruitshave, been ofi'ering throughout the past week, and consequently valueshave had a flrming tendency. Tomatoes, both hot house and outdoor, have sold readily, wmist chokos, Chinese goosecerries and tree tomatoes have all been placed to advantage. Spring bulbs have come to hand and have been keenly sought, whilst poppies and violets have also advanced in value. Mosl varieties of vegetables have been in demad, large supply of root varieties being available, and consequently values have eased in oraer to quit. Celery, peas, beans and cauliflowers have b/en' readily sought. Only small ynrdings of poultry have been o:_ered this period, in the main the : being of inferior grade. Prime birds, however, have met with extr^mely keen demand.
