FURTHER PROGRAMME OF WOOL RESEARCH
WELLINGTON, June 10. With the object of seeking cooperation in its activities, the executive committee of the Tnternational Publicity and Research Fund, which met in London recently, decided to exteud an invitation to wool producers in the ITnited Kitigdom and iSouth America which are not represented. The South Ameriean countries which it is proposed to invite, include Argentiha, Tlruguay and Ohile. The tJnited States has already agreed to cooperate through its woolgrower organisations. This information was received in a cable message yesterdav by the New Zealand Wool Board. The cable massage added that the executive had agreed not only to continue its research programme but also to embark on a programme of expatision extending to Ihe Dominions and Eurppe. Tljis will include the revival of a number- -of scholarships and fellowships which were not taken during the past six years because of the war. Following the initial report on the state of India 's rural industries, members of the executive representing Ahstralia, New Zealand and South Africa, decided to send a small party of experts to,- India to , investigate market prospects for wool. It also agreed that the Tnternational Wb'Ul Secretariat shbuld acquire premises near Pieadilly, London, for a new ot&ce and show robm accommodatibn.
