PORK VALUES INCREASE
STOCK SALE IN LEVIN There was an average yarding in all classes of stock at yesterday's weekly Levin stock sale. Quality was a little below par and there was a rather shbrt supply of pork, with a consequent ihcrease in val■sies. Store pigs Were in Very short rnpply. All fat stock, with the cxception of pigs, brought late rates. Fat cattle sold on a par with ruling rates. The following prices ^ere reaiised: — Sheep: Fat ewes, light, 19s ld to 21s 4d; medium, 22s. 4d to 25s 6d; extra prime heavy, 28s; wetliers. light, 32s ld to 33s lOd; medium, 34s lOd to 35s 7d; priiiie, 36s ld to 37s ld; fat laiiibs, light, 22s to 24s Jd; medium, 25s ld to 26s ld; prime, 27s 16d to 31s 4d. No store entries. Pigs: Light pork, £2 12s to £3 ls; medium, £3 11s to £3 17s 6d; heav- i ier, £4 to £4 15s; baconers, £5 8s to, 25 12s; medium stores, 34s. .Cattle; Light veal, £3 7s 6d to ; 24 7s 6d; mbdium, £4 10s to £5 2s 6d; j prime, £5 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d; fat! P.A. cows, £10 2s 6d to £10 7s.6d; fat P.A. heifefs, £10 17s 6d to £11 17s 6d; (at cows (ex-dairy) , £5 12s 6d to 26 15s; store dairy cows, £5 5s to 26 12s 6d.
