JOE LOUIS MUST IMPROVE
CHANCES IN BOUT WITH CONN Latest reports from the U.S.A. say that Louis is not showing as much life as Conn, and will have to improve if he is to hold his title. He punches hard, but moves slowly, and his sparring partners say that in his present condition he is "easy meat" for Conn. On the other hand Conn .is progressing well in his training, and gives good exhibitions of punching and fast moving. He is learning to counter-punch while on the retreat and this, said his trainer, will come in handy when he meets Louis. His trainer also reports that he is full of life and speed. He is very pleased with the cway Conn is progressing. Conn now scales 13st. 11b.
