LAKE LEVELS AS BAD AS EVER

WELLINGTON, June 10. The power supply position in the North Isiand is running close to the point at which further and more frequent diseonnections may Ixe necessary. It was reported by the State Hydroelectric Department today that the level of LaKe Taupo, with no rain, of eonsequenee in the ca'tchment area, was lower than ever and the position at Waikaremoana was a bad as ever it had been, a rapid drop in the level having been experienced recently.
