RAHUI LIFT TWO TROPHIES Rahui's surprise defeat of Athletic in the senior competition on Saturday won them the McLennan and Easton challenge cups. Aithough the game was played at Otaki to suit Athletic because of the races, it should have been played on ALhletic's home ground in Levin, and they had to forfeit'the trophies. Ihe match was a liard-fought and interesting one. Rahui's eight points came from a converted try ! and a penalty goal, while Athletic ] scored an unconverted try and j kickcd a penalty goal. It was thej first fime this season that Athletic's linc has been crossed, the nine points previously against them being three penalty goals.
