Nanook and Penwilt . led to the last fenee and once ovor fought a grcat iinish, Nanook winuing by a narrow margin. Colonei Bogey was well baek third and Northfield was fourth. Gynee Lou Finished Well Gynee Lou linished well to wiu the (irst Maulen Plate. ltoyal Flash, Aecepled, Gynee Lou, Tetramareh, Ngakoti and Blicilwyti wero prominent early and Royal Flash led into the straight from Gynee Lou, Aeeepted, Ngakoti, Tetramareh and Sheilwyn. Gynee Lou had eliarge a furlong from home and although Tetramareh, Royal Flash and Sheilwyn linished solidly, Gynee Lou rau home a winuer by just uuder two lenglhs froui Tetramareh, Royal Flash and Sheilwyn almost in Une. Cooraclare Won Nicely , After beiug well plaeed behind Foxella, Itotlinie, Miss Pompudour and Goldeu Aere early iti the Paeilie Haek Handieap, Cooraelure moved up to attend Foxella and Rothnic into the straight. Over the last furlong he drew out to wiu by two leugths from Foxella over a length iu front of Lord Moutoa. Blaek water, the favourite, was elose up fourth. Miss Delaware Beats Hakim There was a elose iinisli in the E1 Alameiu Handieap when Miss Delaware, in front a furlong from home, stuck 011 to wiu by half a length from Hakim a lieek in front of Second Seal. Seeond Seal and Voltaire were tlie yiacemakers from Miss Delaware and Foxeateher, Miss Delaware, Iligh Order and Hakim as thev passed tiie stauds the first time. The field was fairlv well buuched at tlve live and when Foxeateher went up to join Seconu Seal at the .tliree, tlie paee \\;as riglit on. Miss Delaware, Siiver Rod, umler pressure, Voltaire aiul Hakim, were in elose attcndance 011 Foxeatehcr and Seeond Seal as tliev turned into the straight. Miss Delaware went to the front a furlong from tlie lino and had to be ridden riglit out to hold olf Hakim and Seeond Seal. Siiver Rod was elose up fourth and Aleyoue was a good fifth. Easy for Peter Theio The seeond Aehillies Maideu Plate proved to be the bcst of goo] tliings for tlie Hawcra-traincd gelding, Peter Tlieio. He was in front as soou as the line broke and lie was uever headed. The Stormovik attended him to the straight, the pair being elear of Putere, Skilled, Supreme and Midshipman. In the run home, Tlie Stormovik issued the only challenge to the Jeader, but Peter Theio rau in an easy wiuner by two leugths. Skilled, tlie favourite, was half a dozen leugths away third and Midshipman was fourth.
Prince Wanaka Beats Carmelita Prince Wanaka was favourite for tlie Air Force Haek and lie won well but uot by niucli. Tudor Ghief, Robeology and Ever Aussie bogan best, but the field was well bunched to the far tuni where Tudor Cliief .took over to iead iuto tlie straight from Carnielita, Priuee Wanaka, Robeology and Ever Aussie. Carmelita soou headed Tudor Cliief, but T'rinee Wanaka ehallenged and beat hor by u neek. Tudor Cliief was four leugths away third and Ever Aussie was fourth. Bay Robe Won Decisively Bay Kobe, ridden by W. L. Aitken. who rode tlie winuer of tlie E1 Alamein Handieap, won tlie open sprint decisively from Lady Nahleen with Soneri a elose third. Sir Boswell and Lady Nahleen began best and Lady Nahieen and Leybourne showed the wav to tlie straight attended by Listen tn.-Bav Kobe and Soneri. in tlie run home, Lady Nahleen stuck 011 gallantlv, but Bay Rolie rau past lier easily and 011 to win by over two leugths. Soneri linished well a lengtli from Latly Naliieen and Listen I11. Leybourne arnl Tlie Grand were next. Duplieity aud Whackie were slow to ieave tlie mark. Incline Finished Too Well for Tifox Tifox set out to lead all the way in the coneluding raee and he beat all but lucliue whicli finished too well for him. Going out of the straight the first time, Tifox lead from St. Hilton, Glen Severn, Mesalliance aiul Begowned. Tifox was well elear at the six and the field was well struug out. Tifox, Iiiclrne, Mesalliance and St. Hilton was the order at the home turn and Incline was in front at the distance. Tifox stuck 011 but was beaten by two leng'ths. Mesalliance was third two lengths away from the second horse and Tiercel was fourth.
