Personal Mrs. Chestnut,- sister. to Mrs. W.i Wilson, who has been on holiday in 1 Otaki, returns to her home in Hamilton to-day. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Ferguson, of Auckland, and their daughter, Enid, from Sydney, are at present among the visitors to this district. • ' It will be welcome news to Flight-Lieutenant Smith's many friends to know that his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Smith, of Te Horo, have received a cable stating that he expected to return in three months' time after three years' service overseas. Ball in Wellington One of the main social events yet held in Wellington was the bali given by Amos' Soft-Goods, Ltd., on Friday night, when Otaki was represented by Mr. and Mrs. K. Hager. It was a most enjoyable and successful function, and one that will be long remembered with pleasure by the large number who attended.
