It ?is in Palestine, soutn-west of Gaza, where the army recently bought vast traets as a site for the base, which will reputediy'cost £1,000,000, and begins exactly ten yards east cf the jCigyptian trontier. {i, field lViarshal Sir Bernard Montgomery, who has arrived at Mana en route to Cairo, is expectea to arrive at Cairo to-rnorrow on the lirst stage of his inspection of tne Middie Bast instahations.
