The -outstanding feature of this group are the numbSr* of workers engaged in the j-epair and maintenance of motor vehicles and road transport industry, aiid they indioate a considerable increase on previous surveys. The vacancies are in general for skilled men with the exception of the' textile. industry, and while these kre shown at a very high figure for males. their employment depends upon the filling of the female vacancies; which at the moment is an impossible proposition owing to the extreme shortage of this type of labour.
