The South Ganterlmry Grain and Produce Merchants' Association is concerned at the sltortage of sliipping preventing the movement of potatoes to the Nortli Island. It states that at least. 250,000 sacks of potatoes are still -to bfe sliipped from Timaru or about 50,000 sacks a monfli until the end of the season. Growers and merchants would like an assurance that. the necessarv ships will'be made available at. regular intervals as the present slowness of despateh. is against xiational interests-.
