— I -v CONVERSION OF TRIIOK Pleading guilty to the unlawfui xmversion of a motor truck, the property of Stewart Bartholomew, Iwo Natives were convictcd and lentenc.ed to four months' imprisohment by Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M.. in the Levin Court yesterday. They were Uma Hapeta and Tahu Royal Tamihana. Sergeant W. Grainger tolcl thc court that on March 25 last tiigt Bartholomew had given both the accused, along with another Native, a lift to Levin. In the course of the; journey he told them that he wasj leaving the truck in Levin while he! went to Otaki. Bartholomew sub- i '.equcntly parked the vehi'cle in ' Levin.
