In coniirig to this decision the' cdmmitte'e wishes to state ' the abandonment has heen hrought about by the recpnditipning of - the southprn end pf tlje coprse propeiv. Although .the work is fairly' well iip to schedule, thbre has' been : liriavoidable delay caused by unforeseen difficuities with supplies of soil. It is considered there is an element of risk that adverse weather during the next few weeks would possibly render the newlyformed portion of tne course proper unsafe for riders and horses."
