He also referred to the difiieulty of retaining the trained stall, that woubl arise if the station were shifted, for present workers at tlie station liad their honies in Palmerston Xorth. The .provisiou of buildings for ja station elsewhere would also present a problem. Pnder present eireumstanees there was no prospect of shifting the station from Palmerston Xorth.
