Received Tuesday, 7.35 p.m. MELBOURNE, Jitne 4. Hope must now be abandoned of finding alive any of Australia's 900 fliers missing in the Sonthwest Pacific, according to the verdict oi' Sciuadron Leader Kenneth Williams, controller of the R.A.A.F. casualty section searches in the Southwest Pacific. After eight months of exploration and investigation through the islands, search teams have not found one living Australian airman of the 900 reported missing from operations in that area. They have learned the i'ate of about 40 per cent. of the missing aircraft. The search will he continued until the end of this year.
