COLLISION NEAR WANGANUI
WANGANUI, June 4. Three persons received minor injuries when two motor cars were involved in a collision on the Marangai Hill late yesterday afternoon. They were brought to Wanganui by private car and after treatment in the outpiitients' department of the General Hospital two of them were discharged. A third, Miss N. Needham, of Liffiton Street, Gonville, was detained in hospital for observation. The accident occurred on a straight section of the road at the top of tke hill. Mr. A. H. Parsonage, of Feilding, aecompanied by Mr. K. Geary, also of Feilding, was travelling in the direetion of Wanganui. The other car, driven by Mr. J. W. Travis, of Palmefston North, lYas travelling south. Mr. Parsonage received an injury to his nose and bruises, while Mr. Geary received abrasions. iliss Needham was - a passenger in Mr. Travis 's car. The St. John Free Ambulance was called out, but the three persons injured were taken to hospital by private car. The ffont pottiori df one car involved in the eolli^io'n was extensively damaged.
