OPOTIKI, June 5. ' The historic Anglican Church of St. Stephen the Martyr was entered on Monday night and the safe containing £9, representing Sunday's collections, was blown open with explosives. Surplices and cassocks scattered around the floor indicated that they had been used to muffle the sound. Another burglary took place a fortnight ago at the pharffiacy of Mr. J. D. Clark, £14 being stolen.
