The Wanganui Joekey Club's winter meeting was concluded today, the weather early being fine, but heavy rain set in after the sixth raee accompanied by a istrong driving wind. The track was heavier tlian on first. day. The attendance was very good and the totalisator handled £55,812 10s, compared with £51,053 on the corresponding day last year, making a record total for the meeting of £10(3,509 as against £87,130 10s la.st year. After tlie Russell Grace Handicap, a,n inquiry was lield into Lord Darnley 's boring out in the straight and carrying out Gecond Seal. It was stated in evidence that Lord Darnley was noted for the practice and it was decided to take no further action.
