KIDNAPPED CHILDREN
I GERMANS HINDER SEARCH j LONDON, June 2. Germans working under tlic Mililary Government are deliberately hindon ug a search for 40,000 children kidnapped by Nazis, says an Unrra statement iasued by the Britisli headquarters in Germany. It adds: "The Germans are hiding vital records and are giving false information. A village burgomaster, for e.xample, denieil that any Allied children' xvere in the locality, l-ut a man direeted the searehors to a convent where a large number wasi found. Gcrman foster-paronts were dis^ covered bullying some children to }>revent them from revealing their iden-t-ity. Other Germans," says the statement, "teaeh the children to hate their parents, whom they r6member only ; dimly, telling them that their parents aro criminals. "
