— v Mrs. E. Alsop, of Lower Hutt, is visiting Mrs. A. Crowe, Kimberley , Road, Levin. Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Connell, of Feilding, are staying with Mr. and; Mrs. H. Bull, Princes Street. Mrs. B. Otton has been a Well- ! ington visitor to Levin, the guest of Mrs. J. Grifhth, Kimberley Road. j ■ Misses P. and J. Lynch and Mr. G. Fox, Jnr., returned to Levin today ai'ter spending the week-end a(; the Commercial Hotel, Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. J. Dorne, of Kimber-. ley Road, have returned to their home after a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach. The death occurred at Auckland on Saturday of Mrs. J. M. Milne, of Frankton, a well-known resident of L,evm some years ago at which time ner husband was in business as a land agent. The deceased lady was oorn ar Kumeroa, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hewitt. She was predeceased by ner husband about twelve months ago, but leaves a son and two aaughters. Messrs. R. T. Hewitt (Levin) and J. Hewitt (Koputaroa) are brothers. On Friday the staff of the Horowhenua Power Board met at morning tea to extend their good wishes oo Mr. G. H. Sorenson, who has resigned to enter private practice as an accountant. The managingsecretary (Mr. R. A. Frederikson) , on behalf of the staff, presented him with a mounted.ink stand.._ He said Mr. Sorenson had joined"_ the staff as a meter reader and by applicatfon and industry left as a fully-qualified accountant and secretary. He extendqd good wishqs in his new venture. Mr. Sorenson briefiy replied.
