EXPORTS OF WOOL FROM DOMINION
WELLINGTON, May 31. During April, 75,581 bales of wool were shippcd fi'om New Zealand, thds quantitv being fairly evenlv distributed over tlie main ports, it was reported at a meeting of the New Zealand WooF Board. The bulk of the wool for the month was taken by tlie United Kingdom and the United States, but shipments were also made to Canada, Swedeu, Mexico and Denmark. The meeting was held at the Ruakura Animal Eesearch Station to give members an opportunity of studying the work being carried out there. It waS deeided to visit all the research instiutions 'as early as possible and also that the next meeting be held in Dunedin to allow members to see the work being carried out by the New Zealand Woollen Mill Owners' Research Association. Two members were appointed to'represent the board at a conference witli representatives of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board and Federated Farmers wliich will make recommendations as to the order of reference and the nature of the petsonnel of the Royal Oommission which was to be set up to investigate the problems of the sheej) farming industry.
