VICTORY PARADE SIDELIGHTS

Received Thursdav, 11.40 p.m. LONDON, May 30. Thirty-five squadrons which will roar 1000 t'eet over the heads of the crovd aloug tlie Mall in the victory parade, will be niarshalled and controlled hy radar. Headquarters have heen estahlished m the marshland of the Thames Estuarv out of sight of tlie course the aircraft will take. A squadron leader, sitting m front of a cathoderay tuhe, will watcn the progress of the squadrons as they leave their bases in East Anglia, Kent and Sussex and will, tli rough a microphone, direct their courses. The two dog V.C.s, Jet and Irma, will participate in the victory parade with the Civil Defence Service. The dogs won the Dickin Aledal — known as \ the animal's Aric — for rescue work in tracing raid victims huried under dehris. They will wear their medals m the parade.
