KEEN SALES EXPERIENCED Messrs. Townsend and Paui, Ltd., fruit and produce mer chants, Wellington, report that during the past week all varieties of fruit have met with better enquiry, tree tomatoes, passionfruit, grapes and tomatoes oeing In particularly keen enquiry. Large quantities of flowers have been oiiered, all choice blooms being placed to advantage. Vegetable saies have also been well attended In spite of the recent dispute. Green peas have met with very keen enquiry due to smailer supplies offermg, while kumeras, pumpkins and beans have all been sought. Smailer yardings of poultry have been available and consequently prime birds have sold at imnroved rates.
