AGE OF FLIGHT BRINGS NEW TRESPASS LAW
WASI11NG-TON, May 28. The Supreme Court has recogniseci the present age of fiight by creating a new precedent extcnding property rights to low altitude air space. The Court' s ruling had two main points: Pirstly, the landowner has title to as much air space above his property as its use and enjoyment requires; secondly, repeated invasion of such air space by low-flying aircraft is trespass and subject to legal redress. A case was brought by a' North Carolina farmer whose chickens were so badly scared by army bombers that they flew into fences, thereby breaking their necks.
